CPD Ambassadors
We are pleased to announce the launch of our international network of CPD Ambassadors.

From today, we have a network of 28 teachers from 19 countries, volunteering friendly support and practical advice to fellow teachers working towards their annual CPD requirement. The new scheme will also ensure fast and accurate feedback on local issues and challenges, allowing us to respond more quickly.

We have worked closely with the Ambassadors to understand what kind of support teachers need beyond that offered by the CPD and Membership teams in an initiative led by teachers, for teachers.

Find out more about our CPD Ambassadorshow to get in contact, and how to volunteer.

I am a non active Life Member although I still work as a free dance ballet teacher to a few companies in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. As far as i am aware there are no RAD schools in my area.

Sounds stupid - maybe i have missed it, but what does CPD stand for? (current professional dancers?)

Thanks you,

Hello Maureen,
Thank you for reaching out. CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development, which is a requirement for all teachers registered with the RAD. CPD is the process of continually updating and improving their knowledge and skills throughout their professional lives. The RAD offers many activities designed to fulfil this requirement. You can read more about the CPD process at Please let us know if you have any questions.
