The Royal Academy of Dance offers a wide range of courses, classes and workshops for young people
Find a Teacher is a facility available to provide the public with a helpful service in finding a qualified teacher wherever your location in the world. It comprises of a network of Registered Teachers all of whom teach RAD ballet, amongst other things, and are eligible to enter their students for RAD examinations. Whatever level of dance experience you or your child have, our Find a Teacher search will help you to find a world-class qualified dance teacher, locally. Our online database comprises of over 2,000 teachers including both RAD Registered Teachers and Teachers Recognised by Mutual Agreement (IDTA). All individuals listed have proven their knowledge and understanding of the RAD’s syllabus, have demonstrated their ability to teach the syllabus effectively and as such can enter candidates for RAD examinations
The Royal Academy of Dance recommends that all its Teaching Members have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service, Disclosure Scotland or a similar international organisation.
Please feel free to contact the teachers direct to enquire about their ethos, class times, prices and availability.
To find the nearest RAD Registered Teacher to you, please search by the name of your town / county / country. Please note that your geographical area may be listed in English and / or in your own language and that searches generated by county / country are likely to produce greater search lists. If your search does not generate any results, please try an alternative area located near to you.
Please note: For the RAD to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, written permission specifying website release is required before contact details can be published. As a result of this no teacher search will offer a comprehensive list, as not all teachers have expressly given their permission to be included.
If you would like to give your permission for either your home and / or work details to be published on the RAD website, please complete and return this declaration form. If you prefer your details not to be released or you are confident you have already signed and returned a Data Protection Declaration indicating website release, you need take no further action.
For any queries, please contact the Membership Team membership@rad.org.uk or telephone 020 7326 8022 / 8038 / 8065.
