The Royal Academy of Dance offers a wide range of courses, classes and workshops for young people
The RAD through its Faculty of Education offers a unique portfolio of postgraduate, undergraduate and professional programmes of study delivered at London headquarters or by distance learning.
Degrees, diplomas and certificates offered by the Faculty of Education are validated through the University of Surrey or by the Royal Academy of Dance as a recognised Chartered Body (please see page 9, section 5.21, of the Academy's Supplemental Charter and Bye-Laws).
We recognise that many students wish to remain in their own countries while studying for a teaching qualification leading to RAD Registered Teacher status. For this reason, we deliver programmes in German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Portugese and Spanish so that students can study in their first language.
If you are a student of the Faculty of Education, and wish to log in, please do so via the Faculty's website.
Ofsted report
In June, a group of inspectors from Ofsted spent a week at the Faculty of Education to assess the Postgraduate Certificate in Education: Dance Teaching against the Framework for the Inspection of Initial Teacher Education. We are delighted to announce that the PGCE:DT provision achieved Grade 1 (Outstanding) in all areas, including overall effectiveness and capacity to improve further and/or sustain high quality.
