"Dance is a universal human activity that can be performed anywhere. Its benefits extend beyond the studio; it instils self-confidence and discipline, it teaches you team building skills and fills you with joy. Dance in all its forms is both physically exhilarating and a rewarding experience and offers the opportunity to express emotions through movement and music which results in the overall feeling of well-being".
Lynn Wallis FISTD, Artistic Director of the Royal Academy of Dance

The Royal Academy of Dance offers first-rate teaching with excellent results year on year. Our GCSE, GCE AS and A2 dance courses equip students with the skills and knowledge to enable them to progress to further dance studies. Students attending the Academy benefit from its strong links with the professional dance industry and other academic institutions through professional dance workshops and tutorials. Former students have gone on to study dance-related subjects at Higher Education or to develop their careers in teaching, choreography, performance and dance administration.
