• BA (Hons) Dance Education
• BA (Hons) Ballet Education (Level 3)
• Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance (LRAD)
• Teaching Certificate Programme (TCP)
• Enrol into one of our Faculty of Education programme of study

The responsibilities of RAD Registered Teacher are:
• To hold membership of the Academy
• To uphold the Code of Conduct and Professional Practice for teachers registered with the Royal Academy of Dance
• To uphold standards of good practice
• To maintain the Academy's artistic and professional standards
Continuing Professional Development
RAD Continuing Professional Development (CPD) gives you the opportunity to develop your creative, teaching and business skills. By participating in CPD you will be able to demonstrate that that you are up-to-date with current ideas on teaching, your commitment to the dance profession and help your students reach their full potential. From 1 July 2013 it will be compulsory for teachers registered with the RAD to engage in CPD, in order to retain their Registered Teacher status. Find out more...
The RAD recommends:
As best practice, the RAD recommends that its teachers apply for an Enhanced Disclosure (or equivalent) with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Disclosure Scotland or other equivalent international body every three years.

New RAD Registered Teachers residing in the UK and Ireland are required to pay a compulsory one-off fee of £14.40 including VAT, in addition to their first teaching membership subscription for access to Marketing Tools for Teachers.
