Royal Academy of Dance is incorporated by Royal Charter, granted on 17 January 1936 and Supplemental Charter granted 19 November 1996 and amended on 10 December 2008.
Proxy Voting
As many members will be unable to attend the Annual General Meeting 2010 in person under the amended Charter and Bye-Laws approved by members the Privy Council in December 2008, members are now able to vote by proxy, submitting their voting instructions using either a postal proxy form mailed out to all eligible members or an electronic voting facility.
Eligibility to Vote
Under Bye-Law 6 only Full Members (including RAD Registered Teachers) who are current members of the Academy at the time of voting and are 18 years of age or older may vote at an Annual General Meeting. Members completing either the proxy form or voting through the internet are required to sign that they are voting in accordance with Bye-Law 6.
