£18,000 - £23,000 pa

You will be responsible for providing support for the delivery of postgraduate awards. You will support academic and administrative senior managers and provide a focal point of administrative support for students and partnership schools and colleges.

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent), have experience of administrative procedures in a busy environment, will be familiar with dealing with external contacts, have excellent communication skills in English, strong analytical and IT skills together with experience of website content management.

2) GSCE PERFORMING ARTS: FREELANCE DANCE TEACHER

Lambeth 14 – 16 Learning Programmes

Remuneration: £200 per day


The Royal Academy of Dance is pleased to be involved in Lambeth 14-16 Learning Programmes and from September 2008 students from Lambeth Consortium Schools will have the opportunity to attend a GCSE Performing Arts: Dance programme at our headquarters in Battersea.

We are looking for a freelance dance teacher to plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum for at least the next two academic years. You will have Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent, current knowledge of Dance in relation to the National Curriculum Secondary Strategy and the 14 – 19 Curriculum together with the ability to engage students with enthusiasm. The programme will be delivered on Fridays during term time.

3) LIBRARY INFORMATION SERVICES ASSISTANT – Part time

13.5 hours p/wk (term time only) including Saturdays and evenings.

The Academy’s Philip Richardson Library, based in Battersea, London houses an extensive collection of ballet and dance education related materials. An experienced library assistant is required to provide extended opening hours and access to library resources for students on the Academy’s Faculty of Education programmes and those enrolled on GCSE / A’ Level courses.

Sometimes working alone (initial training will be provided) the successful candidate will be required both to follow instructions and work proactively, providing feedback to facilitate the integration of weekend and evening activities with full-time operations. An interest in and knowledge of dance is desirable though not essential. The position is available from September 2008.
