Australia's Aaron Smyth wins gold at 2008 Genée International Ballet Competition
Australian Aaron Smyth won Gold and CDN $11,000 at the GENÉE INTERNATIONAL BALLET COMPETITION in Toronto on Saturday, August 23 at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. In addition, Mr. Smyth, 17, also won the Bravo! Audience Choice Award. Read more

Starry night at the Bloomsbury Theatre
UK’s young dancers on the path of securing the future of British Ballet at Final of the Fonteyn Nureyev Young Dancers Competition. Sunday 13 April saw the culmination of the Fonteyn Nureyev Young Dancers Competition at the Bloomsbury Theatre, London. 20 young dancers took to the stage, each giving a unique performance, infused with individual talent and charisma.

Final of the Genée International Ballet Competition
at the Lyric Theatre, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
The audience was brought to their feet when the panel of Judges,
chaired by Dame Antoinette Sibley DBE , President
of the RAD announced their decision to award 18-year-old Italian,
Valentino Zucchetti a gold medal - a rarity
in the history of the competition.

Genée International Ballet Competition 2006 - Showcasing the Finest Young Dancers
As the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) celebrates the 50th Anniversary of its arrival in Hong Kong, the Genée International Ballet Competition; one of the world’s most prestigious ballet competitions for young ballet dancers and the RAD’s flagship event, will be staged at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. The competition will take place from 26 August – 3 September marking the first time that this competition has ever been held in the city.
