We seek to accomplish this through promoting dance, educating and training students and providing examinations to set standards and reward achievement. The Solo Seal Award is the final examination of the Royal Academy of Dance and candidates must have been successful in the Advanced 2 Vocational Graded examination in order to enter the Award. The Solo Seal takes the form of a performance in front of a panel of two judges with an invited audience of teachers, parents and other guests. The Panel will consist of a Vocational Graded Examiner and professional dancer (or retired dancer) from a ballet company, the latter approved by Royal Academy of Dance Artistic Director Lynn Wallis
