What is the Royal Academy of Dance?

The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is one of the largest and most influential dance education and training organisations in the world.
Our patron is HM Queen Elizabeth II. RAD members are an active global community supporting the advancement and culture of dance and include professional dancers, students, teachers, benefactors and friends.

How do you become a member of the Royal Academy of Dance?

Affiliate Membership
Affiliate membership is designed for students of dance, who wish to benefit from the support, knowledge and expertise of the Academy

Full Membership
Full membership to the Academy is designed for dance professionals

Registered Teacher
To become an RAD Registered teacher one must have successfully graduated with specific Academy qualifications

What if I am not eligible for Membership but still want to support the Academy?

Become a Friend of the Academy or a Corporate Subscriber. Friends of the Academy are those individuals or companies who are passionate about the dance world and wish to support and share in its future.
