of dance. Membership of the Royal Academy of Dance affirms professional
standing and offers support, training and advice to over 13,000
members, in 79 countries worldwide.
The Academy
aims to support its Members, be it through the knowledge, support
and technical expertise of its highly
qualified staff or the social
inter+action of likeminded enthusiasts at RAD conferences, workshops,
training courses or summer schools.

Affiliate Membership is designed for students of dance, who wish
to benefit from the support, knowledge and expertise of the Academy.

Full Membership of the Academy is designed for dance professionals.

Teacher
To
become a Registered Teacher students must have graduated from a
course
at the Faculty of Education, endorsed by the Royal Academy of Dance.

Teachers Recognised by Mutual Agreement
As
part of an agreement between the RAD and IDTA, Associate Members
of the IDTA, qualified in one of the four core Theatre Branch subjects
can apply for membership of the RAD under the special category
of teacher recognised by mutual agreement
