Teacher Information
The responsibilities of an RAD Registered
Teacher are:
To uphold standards of good practice
To uphold codes of professional conduct
To maintain the Academy's artistic and professional standards
To hold Membership of the Academy
To become a Registered Teacher students
must have successfully graduated with one of the following Academy
qualifications:
BA (Hons) in The Art and Teaching of Ballet
BA (Hons) in Dance Education**
Diploma in Dance Education**
Professional Dancer's Teaching Diploma
Teaching Certificate and/or Teaching Diploma
Certificate in The Art and Teaching of Ballet
Advanced Teaching Diploma
Certificate of Higher Education: Dance Teaching**
Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies
Licentiate
Diploma
**If the required RAD core modules have been completed successfully
by the teacher
Students who graduate from courses endorsed by the Royal Academy
of Dance are eligible to apply for Registered Teacher status providing
they continue to teach the Academy's syllabi and regularly enter
candidates for Examinations and Presentation Classes.
