The
Royal Academy of Dance has created a new membership category
of teacher recognised by mutual agreement. This
category enables Associate IDTA teachers qualified in one of
the four
core IDTA
theatre
branch
subjects to be admitted to membership of the Royal Academy
of Dance.
The responsibilities
of a teacher recognised by mutual agreement are:
- To uphold standards of good practice
- To uphold codes of professional conduct
- To maintain the Academy's artistic and professional standards
- To hold membership of the Academy
To become a teacher recognised by mutual agreement you
must:
- be an Associate level member of the IDTA and hold a teaching qualification in one of the four core Theatre Branch subjects (Theatre craft, ballet, modern jazz & tap)
