Examinations Board
The RAD offers an internationally recognised portfolio of examinations and assessments which is designed to motivate and encourage students of all ages and levels of ability, through a systematic measurement of progress and attainment. Examinations are organised and administered by the RAD Examinations Board. Students may start with the Pre-School Dance curriculum, move up through Pre-Primary and Primary levels and then into eight Graded levels or six Vocational Graded levels. Students may move from the Graded pathway to the Vocational Graded pathway at an appropriate time; or they may study both pathways simultaneously.

Education
The RAD offers a unique portfolio of internationally acclaimed dance and dance teaching qualifications. The degrees, diplomas and certificates that we offer, whether undergraduate or postgraduate, university-validated or validated by the RAD as a Chartered Body, enable student-teachers, teachers and professional dancers to gain qualifications, either at the Academy’s London headquarters or by distance learning. If you choose one of our distance learning programmes, you will have the opportunity to study at times and in places to suit your specific life style and career aspirations.

Genée Dance Challenge and Performance Masterclass, Birmingham 2012 - Reach your potential
In July 2012, students from all around the UK will have the opportunity toparticipate in a Genée Dance Challenge competition and Performance Masterclass both taking place at Birmingham Royal Ballet between 21-29 July. Both events are open to students who are currently studying RAD Grade 4 up to Advanced 2. Participation in these events gives students the opportunity to explore creativity, receive coaching on a solo dance and perform in front of an audience. A special offer will be available entitling students who apply for both events to a 20% discount on the total fee. Further information and application forms will be available very shortly from the Training section of the RAD website.
The Summer Events Application Form is now available to download under the Seasonal Holiday Events pages of the Training section of this website; applications for these courses are being accepted earlier this year due to the London 2012 Olympics.
